Diagnostics Ultrasonography (USG)

Ultrasound examination (ultrasonography) – imaging diagnostics of internal organs. It is one of the basic tests that allows you to assess the patient’s condition and decide on possible further treatment. All ultrasound examinations are performed on patients of all ages. Ultrasonography is painless and can be repeated many times without exposing the patient to harmful radiation. The test result is provided in the form of a description, immediately after the test. It is recommended to provide the doctor with descriptions of previously performed ultrasound examinations.

Neck ultrasound (including ultrasound of the salivary glands, ultrasound of the neck lymph nodes and initial assessment of the thyroid gland)

The indication for the examination is the enlargement of the salivary glands of unknown origin, a change in consistency on palpation, pain in the salivary glands and changes in their vicinity, and enlarged or diseased lymph nodes.


It is a method of imaging the thyroid gland using an ultrasound wave. Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure for detecting pathological changes in organs. It allows for an approximate assessment of the shape, size and location of the organ. Indications for the examination are abnormalities in laboratory tests, thyroid diseases.



It is a method of imaging the organs of the urinary system (kidneys, ureters, bladder) using an ultrasound wave. The indication for the examination is the suspicion of nephrolithiasis, neoplastic changes in the kidneys, inflammatory changes (abscesses, tuberculosis), suspected changes in the ureter and bladder. Preparation for the test: Do not eat for 4 hours before the examination, from the evening of the previous day, use an easily digestible diet, drink 0.5-1 litre of water about 1 hour before the examination.


Breast ultrasound is a painless, non-invasive and safe examination. They are recommended for women as part of the prevention of breast diseases, as well as for women with well-developed glandular tissue. Using the breast ultrasound, the structure of the gland can be assessed and the nature of any detected changes can be determined. The test is best performed between the 3rd and 10th day of the menstrual cycle. It is recommended to provide the doctor with descriptions of the previously performed ultrasound examinations, including mammography.

The indication for the examination are abnormalities in laboratory tests, abdominal pain, difficulties in passing urine and stool, and other disturbing changes in the body. Preparation: on the day of the examination, do not chew gum, do not smoke, do not eat for 6 hours before the examination, drink 0.5-1 litre of water approximately 1 hour before the examination, from the evening of the day before the examination, follow an easily digestible diet.
