Abdominoplasty Aesthetic Medicine Gizińscy

CMG

Abdominoplasty is a procedure involving the reduction of the skin and muscle folds of the anterior abdominal wall. In most cases, it is also combined with suturing the linea alba stretch marks.

Indications for the procedure:

  • The desire to improve your silhuette
  • Removal of skin folds after pregnancy
  • Removal of skin folds resulting from weight loss

Before surgery

Like any surgical procedure, abdominoplasty is preceded by a medical consultation. The surgeon will assess the patient’s general condition, determine the area of the skin fold to be removed, discuss the course of the procedure and the expected results. He will also inform you about any pre-treatment recommendations, medications and diet.

The course of the procedure

The operation involves creating an incision in the abdomen above the pubic symphysis, dissecting the skin-fat fold, then sliding the skin down as far as possible, stretching it appropriately and removing its excess. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and usually takes two to four hours. The hospital stay usually lasts two days, during which patients are under constant, professional medical care.

Post-treatment recommendations

After the surgery, it is recommended to wear a compression garment for 10-12 weeks, also at night, and to limit physical activity. The patient will be informed when to come for a follow-up and have the stitches removed.

The final effect of the surgery can be assessed after at least 6 months.
