Education

Paweł Wierzchowski, PhD in Medical Science graduated from the Medical Faculty of the Medical Academy in Bydgoszcz in 2005. He completed his specialization in general surgery in 2011. The head of the specialization was prof. dr. hab. med. Wojciech Szczęsny. At the same time, he defended his doctoral thesis, supervised by prof. dr hab. med. Stanisław Dąbrowiecki.

Experience

He started working at the Department of Vascular Surgery and Angiology of the University Hospital in Bydgoszcz, where he completed his specialization in vascular surgery in 2015. under the leadership of prof. dr hab. med. Arkadiusz Jawień. Currently, he works as an Assistant Professor at the above-mentioned Clinic, developing his skills in the field of endovascular surgery, especially abdominal aortic aneurysms.

Associated with the Centrum Medyczne Gizińscy almost from the beginning of his professional career. Initially, he performed operations in the field of general surgery, such as inguinal, abdominal and umbilical hernia operations, laparoscopic and proctology operations. Currently, he has expanded the scope of operations focusing on phlebology – primarily on minimally invasive operations using laser, radio waves and tissue adhesives to eliminate varicose veins. He was the first in the Centrum Medyczne Gizińscy to use a laser to close spider veins.

Participant of numerous national and international courses and symposiums, secretary of the Polish Society of Vascular Surgery.

varicose veins of the lower limbs, thrombophlebitis, trophic ulcers of the lower limbs, atherosclerosis of the lower limbs, peripheral vascular diseases, hemorrhoids, skin nevi, including lipomas, nodules, atheromas.
